One of my favorite Seafood restaurants in Paris is Le Petit Dome near Place Bastille. Also known as Le Dome Bastille it is a branch of the more well known (and more expensive) Le Dome Seafood Restaurant on Boulevard Montparnasse. But Le Dome Bastille is very casual and has great food and ambiance. There is a small dining room downstairs with banquettes, a small bar and 3 tables. Upstairs is a larger dining room. I prefer downstairs as it is more cosy and intimate. The menu is presented on a blackboard. A selection of about 8 appetizers and 8 main dishes, all fish and all fresh that day. They usually have wonderful prawn appetizers or seafood raviolis. Main courses consist of choices like Scallops, whole grilled fish (John Dory) and sand dabs. The wine list is very simple, six wines, all available by the glass or bottle. And the cost of 4 glasses is the same as one bottle (about 24 Euros). Dinner for 2 will run less than 100 Euros and you'll be happy! Great fish, simply prepared and good value wines. Do the Dome! Le Dome accepts all major credit cards. Reservations are a good idea.
